New Jersey Promotions – Stepping Up

We are thrilled to announce those who have recently “stepped up” from our New Jersey office! Congratulations to Community Association attorney Martin Cabalar on his promotion to Shareholder, as well as to Business Litigation Shareholder Vincenzo Mogavero, who in addition to his legal practice, also serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Firm’s New York and New Jersey offices. Lastly, congratulations are in order for Shareholder Matthew Meyers who is newly minted as Chair of the Firm’s New Jersey Construction Practice.

Martin Cabalar represents condominium and homeowner associations, cooperatives and other residential homeowners as general counsel and in complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on construction and real estate related claims. Significantly, Martin has worked with the Firm’s Community Association and Construction Law Practices to obtain several multimillion-dollar recoveries over the last five years.

Vincenzo Mogavero serves as Chief Operating Officer of Becker’s New York and New Jersey offices. In addition, he focuses his legal practice on business and construction litigation. He has represented clients in civil and criminal cases, mediations, arbitrations, trials and appeals involving complex contractual disputes. In the construction litigation milieu, Vincenzo has spearheaded complex veil piercing analyses, including the analysis which supported Becker’s recent jury verdict in Grandview I.

Matthew Meyers focuses his practice on representing homeowners associations in complex construction defects against developers, contractors, and design professionals. He has extensive trial experience in state and federal courts representing homeowner associations and condominium associations in all aspects of complex litigation as well as through arbitration, mediations, and appeals. Notably, Matthew has obtained nearly $75 million dollars in claims on behalf of several condominium associations over the last five years.
