This program will cover the basics of transition of control from the developer to the unit owners. We will discuss what “transition” means, what is included in transition and the types of things community associations need to be aware of in the process of transition. The program will cover everything from transfer of governance, maintenance obligations, turnover of documents, engineering surveys, audits and financial accounting and, if necessary, litigation with the developer.

This presentation is all about attempting to maintain confidentiality in a transparent age. Participants will learn best practices for determining when confidentiality or transparency is required and to what extent. The program will also review code of conduct policies and board member confidentiality agreements and their enforcement. Finally, participants will be put through a number of real-life scenarios to determine where confidentiality is required. Applicable to NJ only.
